I would fight to the death for a spot at a table with a seven person Spanish 101 study group at a community college. After all, who wouldn't want a Community ? I have obsessed myself with comedy shows for far too long—but this one wants to make me cry. Many comedy shows appeal to the average depressed Joe because they're easy. Joe works a nine-to-five and after a long day he just wants to enter a world where everything is happy. Everything is happy when everything is a joke, but Joe lives in a world where everything is meaningul. Every action has a consequence instead of a laugh track. Every period of confusion must be figured out independently instead of through a magical epiphany. Every moment of sadness becomes a draining nightmare instead of being terminated with an inspirational speech. Joe's flipping out at this point.
